Engineering Transfer Student Center

“Hi! My name is Tanish Arora, I’m a computer engineering major and currently in my fourth year. I’m an International student from India, I transferred to UCR from Riverside Community College in the Fall of 2017. I was given an opportunity to attend the LA hackathon in 2018 where I was able to test my programming skills. Moreover, I met some fellow programmers at the hackathon and we are now working together on a AI project. I am also considering to pursue graduate school to understand more about quantum computing and its mechanics. My experience of being in the TTP program in my first year as a transfer student provided me the tools to achieve academic success throughout the year, I  ultimately chose to become a peer mentor to help the incoming transfer students by providing them guidance, support and experience to achieve their own personal goals and success throughout their academic year.”
